Victoria’s Secret expands in Denver Friday

A new super-sized Victoria’s Secret location opens today at Denver Pavilions.

The women’s lingerie store is opening a 7,100-square-foot location Friday at the downtown shopping center; a 40 percent increase in size from the store’s original size when the center first opened in 1998.

“As one of the most successful retailers in the industry, Victoria’s Secret’s additional traffic will positively affect the other retailers throughout the center and particularly on level 2,” said Gart Properties President Mark Sidell, in a statement.

Earlier this year, the Denver Post reported that the Victoria’s Secret expansion would take over space previously occupied by the Wolfgang Puck restaurant that closed 11 years ago. The space hasn’t had a permanent tenant since then.

The larger Victoria’s Secret is the latest of new movement at the Denver retail center: Earlier this month, FTW (“For The Win”), the entertainment concept owned by Lucky Strike Entertainment, said it will open a 13,000-square-foot adult gaming arcade at the shopping center this fall.
