Josh earned his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Northern Colorado. He spent seven years with Deloitte where he advanced to Audit Manager with his primary industry focus in manufacturing and homebuilding. In 2003 he joined M.D.C. Holdings, a national publically traded homebuilder, as a Corporate Division Finance Manager and advanced to the position of the Denver Division Vice President of Finance. In 2008 he joined GolfTEC Enterprises as Vice President of Finance. In 2011 he moved from GolfTEC to take the Vice President of Finance role for The Gart Companies. Josh is married with three children and enjoys sports.
Since the Company’s inception, Joe Assell has provided the leadership and skill necessary to grow GolfTEC to its current level, often at rates eclipsing 50% annually. GolfTEC began with one employee and $90,000 in sales in 1995, and now operates with 500 employees and over $50 million in sales. Mr. Assell oversees multiple divisions within the company including franchising, technology and finance, legal and marketing. Mr. Assell has been recognized with numerous awards including the Denver Business Journal Top 40 under 40, Golfweek Magazine Top 40 under 40, Colorado PGA Teacher of the Year and the 2008 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Rocky Mountain Region. Mr. Assell serves on the Board of Directors of the Colorado PGA and is on the Associate Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. Mr. Assell graduated cum laude with B.B.A. in Marketing from the Professional Golf Management Program at Mississippi State University and won their Young Alumni of the Year award in 2002. Mr. Assell resides in Denver with his wife and two children.
Kelly Plank-Dworkin is the President of Swoozie’s. Her responsibilities include managing day to day operations, buying, visual merchandising, finance and marketing. Prior to co-founding Swoozie’s in 2001, Ms. Plank-Dworkin was a General Merchandising Manager for Upton’s from 1996 – 2001. Ms. Plank-Dworkin held several senior positions including Divisional Merchandising Manager of Domestics and Accessories, at Federated Department Stores. In addition, she served as the lead member of Federated’s national buying committee for accessories. Ms. Plank-Dworkin, along with her late husband, David Dworkin, co-founded Swoozie’s in 2001 and she remains the heart and soul of the brand today.
Kristen Celko is the CEO of Swoozie’s / Beau-Coup. Her responsibilities include managing the collective portfolio of both our celebration brands. Prior to joining, Ms. Celko held executive eCommerce and marketing positions in a number of multi-channel retail organizations including Neiman Marcus Direct, Under Armour, STA Travel, David’s Bridal, Icebreaker, and was most recently Chief Marketing Officer at J. Hilburn. She graduated with honors from the Broad College of Business at Michigan State with a combined BA/MBA.
Mark Sidell has been president of Gart Properties since 1999 and is a partner in all of the company’s real estate investments. He is responsible for leading the organization including an aggressive acquisition program and continued execution of niche development opportunities. Prior to joining Gart Properties Mr. Sidell was a principal with Trammell Crow Company where he enjoyed a 13 year career in the Colorado real estate market. Mark serves on the board of several Denver community agencies including the Downtown Denver Partnership, the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado and the Jewish Community Foundation. He is also an involved member of the Young Presidents Organization, YPO and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Mark is a real estate industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience and holds an MBA in Real estate and Construction from the University of Denver and received his undergraduate degrees in Construction Management and Business Administration from Washington State University. Mark is married with two children.
